Here is my favorite flower that we have in our front flower bed- I have to find out what it is called- I got a start of it from a neighbor- it is the only one we have- and I love it. It is one of the first flowers up in the spring and when you cut some for the table - they last forever. It doesn't look like much in the picutre- you'll just have to visit us next spring for the real thing, I guess. Sigh. :-) 

I know- what a random thing- but, a very Josh thing... he decided to build a house of cards- we didn't quite get the picture before it started falling apart... but still impressive and fun! 

Here is Katie's very first "people drawing" ever~~ she drew them on the whiteboard at the Seminary- ugh! So---- picture time!!! The extra green squiggles (?!) on there are their pants!! I commanded the seminary students to not erase it until I could get down there with a camera~~ a true blog moment!!!! Okay- a Memory moment!! 

LaRee and Elaine came over today- we did stamping on cards!! Here is a fantastic picture of LaRee with our kitty Toby :-) 

Here is Katie today- she wanted a picture! We are off to the last day of elementary school awards day stuff!!!! 

Had a fun day with the children yesterday- started off very awful- almost had an accident (car)- It happened in front of two of our police- they think I should drive in the Indy 500- - it was all too serious yesterday- I am on the other end of it now- the full swing here... I'm exhausted. No actual collision happened but I over corrected- wow- a car can really go out of control when you do that. I don't know what is supposed to prepare you for that. We were everywhere. Everywhere except for the ditch on either side of the road where we should have flipped about 6 times according to the cops- (I was going 61 mph in a 65 mph zone- even that was a blessing)they were sure they were witnessing our death. So, we are grateful for miracles... truly grateful for miracles. We all had our seatbelts on- although mine popped out somehow. We made the best of a yuck day- we stopped by the zoo, we played at a park, we watched ice age 2, we ate pizza at Sam's club, we got cheap walmart sandals, got Shawn's braces tightened and came home. Same day- Becky had some health problems- we are praying for her. Perspective, Reflection, Gratitude, Prayer. Enjoying the little things... a monkey sucking his thumb, a new baby lemur, Katie enjoying the sand, Josh and Caleb celebrating their mighty triumph of the monkey bars... 

Eggs anyone? People say we have happy chickens- they are laying very well. Yah. Egg recipies???? What do you do with over 200 eggs? ..... Got to go- have to turn over the fish on the grill.... fish and eggs? 

A beautiful little yellow bird peeked into our window by the computer while I was sitting here- a blog moment!!! Isn't it sooo cute :-) Any votes on a name? Peter, George, Andrew.... Cassie, Melissa, Gertrude???????????? 

Okay- 3rd time trying to send this! Spring has sprung in my yard! Daffodils, 3 colors of tulips, hanging baskets, and even our perinnials are starting to green up :-) Planted some of the garden- Mariah is the peas, josh the spinach, shawn c the lettuce, dad and caleb the tomatoes and mariah, katie, and I were the peppers and the general how-to and where-to and what-to plant !!!! The rest of the garden has to wait a couple more weeks because we still have a high danger of frost (actually, even then we can have a frost anytime in June- but- heh- we have to try!) 

Caleb and I got to go on a school fieldtrip together- visiting local farms- we had a GREAT day!! He got to pet a baby horse that was 6 days old (a miracle Caleb even got to touch him), swing at the park, feed another horse, and pet a mule!!........ and...... 

He got to feed a baby cow- hold a baby bunny- and look like a cowboy dude checking on his stallion! 

He got to hold baby kittens and he loved the adult kitty (which no one else his age did- he just loves animals...and they love him!!) 

He went to a baby goat farm.....

... he got to pet a VERY tame baby horse at another farm (it has lost its mom and twin brother) and young pigs- ride the bus and steal Darwin's sunglasses!....

and... Josh at a much younger age and size....

I just found a few pictures of when Katie was a baby- it seems sooooo long ago- and she is only 4 yrs old?! Isn't this a cutie?
