and pickles for dinner! She had just had another growth spurt... so it was the perfect timing for clothes!!!! I can't believe our "Baby" is growing up soooooo fast~ Daddy had to mention that this would be our last number 6 candle... so, I had to take a picture of it... why did the glass have to be 1/2 empty?... I am going to make it 1/2 full... the last number 6 candle... until GRANDKIDS!! Yippee!!! I could have 30+ more of these candles coming! Whew-

For Katie's birthday this year... her amazing older sister decided to sew a blanket for her! Mariah did such an amazing job on it. It was her idea, her sewing, her cutting, her finding the fabric, her hard work and design~ and it paid off... Mom even snitches the blanket and snuggles up in it when I can- it is cute and warm and purrrrfect! (she was taught that style of sewing in Young Women's- they made a table runner- she took that idea and made it big!)
We get pretty creative with our pancakes around here- we have pancake flour ones, wheat ones, whole grain ones, ones with chocolate chips, ones that spell out your name, green ones (St Patty's Day), we use buttermilk syrup, real maple syrup, the regular stuff syrup... Shawn C. started the different designs and was the original "Pancake Maker" in our home for years... now Mariah is feeling the competition and created .... pancakes that look like... us?! :-)

The many faces of Basketball for our family! Daddy was head coach for the middle school (with practise or a game every night of the week), Mariah was scorekeeper at away games and cheerleader for home games for the middle school, Shawn C. was playing JV in high school with avg of 2 games a week & practise every night, Josh had practice on Mon
and games on Wed. while Caleb had practise on Tues with games on Thursdays. We really became a basketball family this year- more than ever- and more than I had ever anticipated... even I was amazed! But, everyone had a lot of fun- and everyone did great.
