We are ready for Valentine's Day!!! Grandee and Opa sent all the fixins for making a ton of valentines for the children's friends, teachers, themselves :-), and special buddies! We had lots of fun making them and the children were so excited this morning!

Happy Valentine's Day to all our amazing family and friends!
The "problem" with having budding photographers in the home of the younger age variety, is that when you download pictures... you never know what you are going to find!! I have no idea where these came from. :-) Josh is standing behind a new race track that Caleb got for his birthday... well, he didn't get it on his birthday- ON his birthday he got a dinosaur track thing that didn't work properly- so we took it back and got this long runway track instead.... ANYWAY, the next one of Caleb is quite fun!!! I have no idea what Katie is eating... and yeah- that is Lady and Toby the pets ON THE COUCH loving Katie... definately not allowed... (well, the cat is okay... but big huge doggie.... I think not) I vaccumed the couch last week again- little did I know.... it needed it!!!

The pictures always turn out terrible in the rec. gym.... but the one on the end of the bench- which, by the way, was no indication of his playing time- is Josh and the scoreboard is his team's first victory score! Josh is playing community basketball and doing very well. He will play again this evening at 8pm (yeah, 8pm on valentine's day-?? Let's have valentine parties and sweets- come home and go to scouts and have more treats- then play b-ball at 8:00 pm and get home 1/2 hour + past our bedtime and go to school in the morning....?????? I really don't think a mom made up this schedule- sorry Dads- not meaning to slam there.... but... :-) I really think a mom would have at least skipped a week....skip a week of b-ball????!!!! blasphemous. I think I can say this though- I am the one that signed up my husband for 2 1/2 months of coaching b-ball and being gone to practise until 6 or 6:30 every evening and games twice a week where they leave at 1:00 and arrive home again about 10:00pm. I very much support basketball and it's consistency..... just not community ball on v-day for a 3rd grader at 8 pm!!!!! Should I just erase this blog entry?

Katie turns 5 on Sunday!!! My baby is going off to kindergarten in the Fall. Sigh. She has grown up sooooo much in the past couple of months- it is amazing the changes in her. I do a shadow box design each month spotlighting whatever are the main events for the month... Katie "helped" with hers this time- I think she did a great job! The pile of hearts in the corner are from a "heart attack" that Josh and Caleb did for Shawn and I while we were gone in Idaho Falls for one day the last of January. We came home and found tons of hearts in our room! That was the same week I did the shadowbox and thought it was fun that Katie and I could include them. What a fun family!

Mariah and I went to "Grandma" Reynold's house and learned how to make bread and divinity! We got 6 loaves and a huge batch of divinity done in 3 hours.... whew. The bread lasted about 1.5 days and the divinity not much longer... sigh. :-)
